What is a speed gate turnstile, and what are its core functions?

A speed gate turnstile is a high-end access control device for efficient pedestrian flow management and security, widely used in office buildings, airports, stadiums, high-end communities and government facilities. Core functions: fast passage, unauthorized access prevention (tailgating/crawling detection), access control integration, and real-time monitoring. It features sleek design, rapid operation and high compatibility with smart authentication.

Can I customize the color or logo of the tripod turnstile?

Can the tripod turnstile be disassembled for maintenance or relocation?

Yes. Most models are modularly designed for easy disassembly. Relocation requires disconnecting wires, removing fixing bolts, and reinstalling/debugging at the new site. Professional assistance is advised to avoid damaging components.

Are replacement parts easy to obtain, and how long is the lead time?

Bolan is a turnstile gate supplier with a complete parts supply chain. Common parts (bearings, lock cores, sensors) should have a lead time of 1-3 days. For customized parts, confirm the lead time (usually 7-15 days) before purchasing to avoid long downtime.

What is the regular maintenance cycle for tripod turnstiles?

Daily: Check if the tripod rotates smoothly and if the lock works normally.

Monthly: Lubricate the rotating shaft and bearings with anti-rust lubricant.

Quarterly: Inspect wiring, sensors, and access control connections.

Annually: Replace worn parts (solenoid, springs) if needed.

What wiring is required for electronic tripod turnstiles?

Generally Bolan supplys the required wirings with tripod turnstile to you. It needs a 220V AC power supply (some support 12V DC for outdoor use) and signal wires for access control integration (dry contact, RS232). For outdoor installation, use waterproof wiring ducts and connectors to prevent short circuits.

Is it easy to upgrade the access control function of an existing tripod turnstile?

Most electronic models support upgrades. You only need to replace or add a new reader (e.g., from card to face recognition) and update the control software, without replacing the entire turnstile. Bolan tripod turnstiles have open dry contact interface, it's compatiable for many access control devices.

Can multiple tripod turnstiles be linked together for synchronized control?

Yes. Through a central control system, you can link multiple turnstiles to manage access permissions uniformly, sync alarm signals, and record data collectively. This is suitable for large sites (factories, campuses) with multiple entry points.

Do I need professional installation, or can it be done in-house?

Professional installation is recommended, especially for electronic models. It involves wiring (power, access control), ground fixing, and integration debugging. Improper installation may cause malfunctions or safety risks. Bolan also will offer installation detailed guides and 24/7 technical supports.

What are the space requirements for installation of tripod turnstiles?

A single unit needs a footprint of ~280mm (W) × 1200mm (L) × 1000mm (H). Reserve an extra 500-550mm on both sides for pedestrian flow; ensure the installation surface is flat and load-bearing (≥200kg/m²) to prevent shaking.

How do tripod turnstiles perform during power outages?

They have two modes: auto-unlock (default for fire safety, enabling free passage) or manual unlock (via key). Choose based on security needs—most projects prefer auto-unlock to meet emergency evacuation rules，so Bolan tripod turnstiles also default setting anto-unlock, if you have any special requirements, please remember to tell us.
