Bolan - Leading Security Turnstile Gate Manufacturer & Supplier Since 2011

Flap Barrier
The flap barrier is a high-efficiency access control solution specifically engineered for managing streamlined pedestrian flow in both public and private sectors. As a sophisticated automatic flap barrier system, it features advanced motor drive technology and a space-saving footprint that perfectly balances high-level security with user convenience. This makes it the ideal choice for transit hubs, corporate lobbies, and venues requiring rapid yet orderly passage.
Unlike traditional rotating turnstiles, the wings of an automatic flap barrier retract quickly into the housing, offering a sleek aesthetic and the flexibility for wider passageways when necessary. This folding design ensures strict access control while effectively preventing unauthorized entry through precision sensor integration. As a leading flap barrier supplier since 2011, we ensure these systems provide long-term reliability and seamless integration with various identification technologies, maintaining the highest standards of perimeter safety and operational efficiency.

Product Structure
The flap barrier gate consists of five main components, ensuring stable and reliable operation:
Frame: Main support structure made of 304 stainless steel or carbon steel painting providing strong load-bearing capacity
Flap mechanism: Includes folding flaps, connecting rods and bracket, drive DC brushless motors, responsible for opening and closing actions
Control system: Main parts is the main board controller, it's the core module for processing authentication signals, sensor data and issuing operation commands etc
Sensor group: Infrared sensors and pressure sensors for detecting pedestrian position and preventing clamping, illegal passing etc
Power supply module: Provides stable voltage for the entire equipment
Core Functions
Integrates with various authentication systems to allow passage only for authorized personnel
Controls the number of people passing through at one time to avoid congestion
Automatically opens flap barriers in case of power failure or fire alarm to ensure smooth evacuation
Uses infrared sensors to detect unauthorized follow-up entry and trigger alarms
Records and transmits passage data and equipment status to the central control system in real time
Automatically detects equipment malfunctions (e.g., flap jamming) when power-on, will send alerts if any problems
no data
When a pedestrian is detected via multiple infrared sensors on both sides of the passage during the flap's closing process , the system will immediately stop and reverse the flap, effectively preventing clamping injuries
When pedestrians attempt to pass in the opposite direction of the set passage mode, it will alarm immediate from audio and visual(light) preventing irregular entry, and the flap barrier will not open

Features
Compact design fits narrow installation areas, suitable for indoor and semi-outdoor use
Equipped with high-precision motor and damping system, low noise (<55dB) during operation
304 stainless steel frame resists corrosion and impact; Acrylic/PC/ABS flaps are anti-break and anti-scratch
Flaps fold smoothly without sharp edges, avoiding injury to pedestrians (especially children and the elderly)
Passage width and opening/closing speed can be adjusted according to actual needs
With many functions from several aspects, keeps high efficiency operation and pedestrian safety
no data
Advantages
Faster opening/closing speed than swing gates and other turnstiles gates, suitable for high-traffic areas
Strict anti-tailgating and anti-climbing design, reducing security risks compared to tripod turnstiles
Simple structure with fewer wearing parts; self-diagnosis function reduces troubleshooting time
Supports integration with multiple systems, adapting to different access control scenarios
LED indicator lights (red for stop, green for pass) and voice prompts guide pedestrians to pass correctly
Modular design allows quick assembly and disassembly; the base is equipped with fixed holes for stable installation on the ground

Integrated Systems
The flap barrier gate can integrate with the following systems to form a comprehensive access control solution:
Biometric authentication systems: Fingerprint recognition, face recognition, palm print recognition.
Card reading systems: RFID card reader, IC card reader, magnetic card reader.
Access control management systems: Centralized management of access permissions, passage records and equipment status.
Ticket systems: The flap barrier gate can connect with ticketing systems (e.g., electronic tickets, paper tickets with barcodes/QR codes). It verifies the validity of tickets in real time through built-in or external ticket scanners, allowing only valid ticket holders to pass and automatically recording ticketing and passage data for statistical management.
Time attendance systems: Manage and record the employees enter and exit datas for time attendance.
Security monitoring systems: Link with surveillance cameras to capture images of unauthorized entry attempts.
Fire alarm systems: Automatically opens when receiving a fire alarm signal to ensure evacuation channels are unblocked.
