Swing Turnstile Gate Installation Instruction
This document instruct the standard installation process for swing turnstile gate step by step. Please comply with these steps to operate ensures the gate operates stably, safely, and smoothly.
Pre-Installation Note:
Ensure the installation site meets the requirements (flat ground, sufficient space for gate swing, stable power supply) and that operators are equipped with professional tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, wire strippers, level gauges) and personal protective equipment (PPE gloves, safety glasses).
1. Unboxing and Inspection
a. Please confirm that all components of swing turnstile are complete without transportation damage before installation.
b. Carefully unpack the swing gate turnstile using appropriate tools, avoid sharp objects that may scratch the gate surface.
c. Remove the packaging materials (foam, carton, plastic film) and place the gate main body, swing arms(generally we didn't pack it individually, except the size is customized), and accessory box in a clean, flat ground.
d. Verify the completeness of components against the packing list. Key items include:
Swing gate main unit (left/right/middle machine); Swing arms (matched with the gate model, generally we remarked); Mounting base plates and expansion bolts; Wiring harnesses; Access control accessories (card reader, fingerprint scanner,if included); User manual, warranty card, and tool kit(specialized screws).
e. Inspect each component for damage: Check the swing gate frame for dents, scratches, or eformation; Ensure the swing arms are free from cracks; Verify that the wiring harnesses have no broken wires or damaged insulation; Confirm that the surface of access control devices is flawless and free from functional defects. If any missing, damaged, or mismatched components are found, stop the installation immediately and contact us for replacement or technical support.

2. Pre-Installation Preparation
Clean the installation area to remove dust and obstacles. According to the layout drawing we confirmed before production and gate dimensions, mark the ounting holes of the swing gate on the ground (use a tape measure and marker for precise positioning; ensure the distance between the left right and middle machines meets the design requirements for pedestrian passage width).
Use a drill bit matching the size of the expansion bolts to drill holes at the marked positions. The depth of the holes should be consistent with the length of the expansion bolts (typically 10-15mm deeper than the bolt length ).
Confirm that the on-site power supply meets the swing gate's electrical requirements (voltage: AC 220V/110V±10% , frequency: 50Hz; ensure a dedicated circuit with a leakage protector is used to prevent electrical faults). Use a multimeter to test the voltage stability and ensure there is no short circuit in the power line.

3. Wiring Operation
Please strictly comply with wiring diagrams for connection.
Before wiring, ensure the on-site power supply is completely turned off to avoid electric shock hazards.
Please find the wiring from the accessories box, generally we have remarked power wire, signal wire. Connect the power wire as the wiring drawings we attached with the swing gate.
Connect the signal lines of access control devices (card reader, fingerprint scanner, face recognition, QR code reader etc) to the input terminals of the swing turnstile gate's control board. Use cable ties to organize the wiring to avoid tangling or being pinched by the swing turnstile gate's moving parts.
After completing the wiring, check whether each connection is correct and tight. Use a multimeter to test the continuity of the signal lines and ensure there is no short circuit between the power line and signal line. Cover the terminal block with a protective cover to prevent it from dust or water.

4. Machine Body Installation
This step ensures the gate main unit is firmly fixed to the ground, avoiding shaking or moving during operation.
Lift the swing gate main machine body and align its mounting holes with the pre-drilled holes on the ground. Place a level gauge on the top of the gate frame to adjust the position, ensuring the gate is horizontally and vertically level.
Insert the expansion bolts into the mounting holes, place the flat washers and spring washers on the bolts, and tighten the nuts using a wrench. The tightening torque should be appropriate (refer to the product specification: typically 35-45N·m) to ensure the base plate is closely attached to the ground without looseness. For outdoor installation, apply waterproof sealant around the bolts to prevent water from seeping into the holes.
Align the swing arm with the rotating shaft of the gate main unit, insert the fixing pin or tighten the set screws. Check whether the swing arm can rotate flexibly without jamming; adjust the position if necessary to ensure the swing angle meets the design requirements (typically 90°-110° for pedestrian passage).

5. Commissioning and Testing
Commissioning verifies that all functions of the swing gate operate normally and safely.
Turn on the on-site power supply and check whether the gate's indicator lights are on normally. Listen to the sound of the gate's motor and control board—there should be no abnormal noise (e.g., buzzing, clicking).
Access Control Test, Swipe a valid card or use the fingerprint scanner or face recognition to make the swing arms opening. Verify that the swing arm opens smoothly, the opening speed is consistent with the set value, and the arm closes automatically after the pedestrian passes (adjust the closing delay time through the control board if necessary).
Test the infrared anti-pinch function (block the infrared sensor during gate closing; the gate should stop closing and reverse immediately). Test the emergency stop function (power off and confirm the gate should stop all operations and the swing arm should keep open automatically).
Test the remote control function (if equipped) to ensure remote opening and closing operate normally.
According to on-site needs, adjust parameters such as gate opening/closing speed, closing delay time, and infrared sensitivity through the control board's buttons.
Run the gate continuously for 50-100 cycles to check for abnormal henomena such as jamming, speed inconsistency, or abnormal noise.

6. Final Inspection and Acceptance
This step confirms that the installation meets the requirements and is ready for official use.
Check the gate's appearance for scratches or damage aused during installation. Verify that the wiring harnesses are neatly organized, the fasteners are tight, and the swing arm is securely installed.
Re-test all functions (access control, safety, linkage etc)
Clean the installation site, removing packaging materials, tools, and debris. Ensure the surrounding environment is tidy before completing the acceptance process.

Important Safety Reminders:
1. During installation, strictly follow electrical safety regulations to avoid electric shock.
2. For heavy gate units, use lifting equipment to prevent personal injury or equipment damage.
3. o not operate the gate with hands or objects in the swing range during commissioning.
4. Outdoor installation must include waterproof and lightning protection measures to extend the product's service life.
